Kramatorsk is a city in Donetsk Oblast in eastern Ukraine. It is located on the Dnieper River about 60 kilometers south of Donetsk and about 100 kilometers north-northwest of Mariupol. Kramatorsk is an important industrial center with a population of about 120,000. The city has a number of attractions, including the Kramatorsk Kremlin, which was built in the 14th century and is now a museum; the Kharkiv Rail Terminal; and the Taras Shevchenko Monument.
