Ballsh is a small town located in the Municipality of Berat, in the eastern region of Albania. It is one of the oldest towns in Albania and it has a rich history. Ballsh was mentioned for the first time in a document from 1385 AD. The town has an impressive medieval architecture, including many churches and other religious buildings. The most notable of these are the Saint Nicholas Orthodox Church and the Saint George Orthodox Church. There is also a mosque and several other religious buildings. Ballsh is also home to several museums, including those dedicated to archaeology and art.
