Price is a small town in north-central Alaska, and as such it is home to a number of interesting sites. The highlight of Price is the exceptionally well preserved gold rush town of Dawson. The town was founded in 1898 and by 1911 had a population of 2,000. Today it retains much of its original character, from the brightly painted buildings to the narrow streets. There are also a number of mines open to visitors, including the famous Klondike Gold Rush Mine.
