Shenandoah National Park is a Unites States National Park located in the Appalachian Mountains of Virginia and West Virginia. The park encompasses 5,000 acres of rolling hills and forested valleys and features more than 360 miles of hiking trails. The park has several visitor centers with exhibits on the history and geology of the area as well as opportunities to purchase souvenirs. A number of hikes can be completed in a day including the Appalachian Trail summit at Mount Jefferson which offers stunning views of the surrounding countryside.
