Today, Groton is a small town with a population of just over 1,000. The main attractions in Groton are its historic buildings and churches. The town has two museums - the Groton Museum of American History and the Groton Historical Society Museum - as well as several houses of worship. There is also a beautiful park that features a pond and swings for children.
