Clarkson is a small town in central Kansas, about an hour north of Wichita. The town was founded in the 1870s by Clay Clarkson and his brother, Dr. John Clarkson. The town had its start as a stop on the Santa Fe Trail and quickly became an important wheat-growing community. Today, Clarkson is a small but vibrant community with a rich history. It's home to the Clarkson Museum, which contains exhibits on local history and agriculture; the Brown County Historical Museum; and several other small museums. There are also several charming shops and restaurants in Clarkson.
