Zuni Pueblo is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a very popular tourist destination. The pueblo is located in the Sandia Mountains of New Mexico, about three hours north of Albuquerque. It's known for its massive kiva (a ceremonial chamber used for public worship), and for its pottery, jewelry, and baskets. There are also interesting historical sites nearby, including the ruins of Fort Sumner, which was the most northerly American military post during the Mexican-American War.
