Secaucus is a small town located in Bergen County, New Jersey, United States. According to the 2010 United States Census, the population of Secaucus was 18,976. It is part of the New York metropolitan area and lies adjacent to Kearny on the west side of the Hudson River. The town was founded in 1694 by settlers from Westphalia, Germany and became an important transportation hub during the 19th century with its location on the railroads connecting Manhattan with points north and west.
