Mount Rainier is a dormant volcano in Washington State, North America, with an elevation of 14,411 ft. It is the highest peak in the Cascade Range and in the Pacific Northwest. The park contains over 158 square miles of forest and meadows, much of it designated as wildlands. There are several trails that lead to high points such as Paradise, Sunrise and Liberty Cap. The summit can be reached by hiking or by using the Rainier Mountaineering Route which starts from Longmire National Park.
