Jeffersontown is a small town located in Jefferson County, Kentucky. It was founded in 1778 and has a population of about 1,500. The town is best known for the shooting incident that took place on September 15, 2007. That day, 39-year-old Stephen Paddock opened fire from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, killing at least 58 people and injuring hundreds more.
