East Point is a city located in the southeastern portion of Fulton County, Georgia, United States. As of the 2010 census, the population was 9,219. East Point is bordered by Austell to the west and southwest, Tucker to the north and northeast, and Covington to the east. The city's name derives from its location on an east-west axis midway between Savannah and Atlanta. Prior to incorporation as a town in 1892, East Point was part of Glynn County.
