With a population of over 100,000, Norwalk is the fifth-largest city in Connecticut and the principal city of the Norwalk-Waterbury-Easton metropolitan area. The city is home to Honda Manufacturing of America, one of two major automobile manufacturing plants in the United States that are not located in California. The other plant is located in Marysville, Ohio. Norwalk also has a significant presence of defense contractor Lockheed Martin and telecommunications provider Verizon Wireless.
