Englewood is a historic district in the city of Denver, Colorado. The area was platted in 1876 and named for its founder, Colonel Thomas Engle. The area is bounded by Welton Street on the north, Colfax Avenue on the east, Lowell Boulevard on the south, and Quebec Street on the west. It contains much of Denver's original high-rise housing stock dating from the early 20th century. Englewood is also home to two major parks: Green Mountain Park and Washington Park.
