Antelope is a small town in eastern Oregon, United States. The town had its beginning as an railroad stop on the Oregon Pacific Railroad in 1883. It developed as a small agricultural community dependent on raising sheep and wheat. Antelope became known as the "Yard of Stars" for the many Hollywood stars who have stopped by to purchase property or stay in the local hotels. The town's prominence waned after World War II when most of the Hollywood stars moved away and agriculture became less important.
