Bromley is a town in south east London, England. It has a population of around 116,000 people and is the administrative centre of the London Borough of Bromley. The town's history stretches back to at least the Iron Age and it was originally centred on two small settlements on either side of the River Medway: Crayford to the north-west and Bromley South to the south-east. In 1842, Bromley became part of Kent. The first industries in Bromley were brewing and distilling, which started in the early 1800s.
