Mala Vyska is a small town in the Zhytomyr Oblast of western Ukraine. It is located on the left bank of the Mala River, 10 kilometres from its confluence with the Buzhka River. The town was first mentioned in written sources in 1243, and since then it has been an important agricultural center. In 1780–1781, it was the site of a military campaign by Russian General Pyotr Rumiantsev against the Austrians.
