Hirayama is a small town located in Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan. The town has a population of around 9,000 people and is known for its many beautiful natural assets. Hirayama is home to Mount Kinkaichi, the highest mountain in Ishikawa Prefecture and the second highest mountain in Japan. The town also boasts breathtaking views of Lake Biwa and the Yamanashi Mountains. Hirayama also has a number of historic sites including the Asahi Shimbun Newspaper Building from 1931 and the Kurobe Dam from 1933.
