Shancheng is the capital of Jiangxi province and one of the most popular tourist destinations in China. The city has a long history dating back over 2,000 years and is home to many interesting historical sites such as the Former Residence of the Qing Dynasty Emperors and the Shancheng City Wall. There are also a number of interesting cultural attractions including the Folk Village and Yu Garden. In addition to its historical sites, Shancheng is also home to some excellent natural attractions such as Jiuzhaigou National Park and Beipanjiang Lake.
