About halfway up the Kimberley Range in Australia's north east is the stunning town of Lara. This small town had long been a mining and timber town, but has now grown into a beautiful tourist destination with plenty to see and do. There are some great walkable streets, boutique shops and art galleries, as well as some great restaurants that offer good food at reasonable prices. The nearby Blue Lake is an ideal spot for a picnic or swim and there are plenty of other attractions in the area to keep visitors busy for days on end.
