Uacu Cungo is an archaeological site located in the province of Malanje, Angola. It is a ceremonial center and one of the largest ancient settlements in southern Africa. The site was first discovered in 1941 by Belgian archaeologist Paul-Emile De Wet, and has since been extensively excavated and studied. Uacu Cungo contains a number of impressive ruins including a large palace, an aqueduct, a granary, and several tombs. The site is currently managed by the University of Leuven's Institute for African Archaeology.
